What motivates our team is a strong desire to raise awareness about Burkina Faso as well as obtaining charitable donations, grants and other support for the poor youth and students, public clinics and schools in rural areas. OuagaNet charitable needs
Volunteers, Friends and Volunteers.
In order to succeed with our charitable objectives, we need men and women from every corner of this world to lend their talents, time, position, compassion, generosity and ingenuity to this noble mission. There is a great joy when you make it happen for others in great needs. Whatever contributions you can make will be tremendeously appreciated at OuagaNet. Volunteers are sought for: - Helping with fundraising and grants writings efforts.
- Collecting basic medical products (antibiotics, tylenol, aspirin, vitamins, etc.).
- Collecting educational supplies and personal belongings.
- Occasional editing and review work on OuagaNet.
- Identifying opportunities that could benefit Burkina Faso artists, students and intellectuals.
Educational support: Tax deductible donations are sought in order to support impoverished but highly dedicated youth with tuition for primary, secondary (High School) or vocational technical education. We have created a special fund in honor of Joseph Kabore a dear friend of mine who committed suicide at age seventeen because his father was unable to pay for his High school tuition. School supplies such as pens, pencils, erasers, compass, metric rulers and calculators are needed in many public schools of Burkina Faso. Some students will effectively drop out because their parents are unable to provide them with such basic items that are essential for success in class. Our goal is to collect the supplies and send them to public schools in rural areas. They will be redistributed to the very needy students by teachers.
Medical needs:
OuagaNet is looking for first aid kits, tylenol, motrin, aspirin, vitamins, antacid, ointment, and all kind of medical products for poor public clinics in rurals areas and cities of Burkina Faso. If you are a Nurse, Pharmaceutical Representative, or a Doctor and can help us collect such items, we will greatly appreciate it. Personal items and other belongings:
Its commonly said that "Someone's junk is someone else's treasure". This is absolutely true. Your unneeded items will be certainly a blessing to someone in a rural village of Burkina Faso. With the cold weather approaching we are collecting coats, sweaters, shirts, etc. for needy people of Burkina Faso. How to help?
